The movie on the screen is "For the Boys," the scene is Bette Midler and her son..."Mommy, my love for you is this big," says the boy as he holds his arms outstretched, "how big is your love for me," he asks. "Bigger than the sky," she replies. I'm sitting next to Lisa on her couch while she munches away on her bowl of popcorn, and I just happen to think to myself out loud, "what IS bigger than the sky?" Lisa, never looking away from the television and bracing a piece of popcorn on her lip, says without skipping a beat, "her love for him." This was just the one of many moments that Lisa left me without words or a retort, I mean, she was right, but so wrong all at the same time.
