There is a poem written by Edgar Guest that has been used to help comfort families through the grief following the death of a young person. It begins by saying, "I'll lend you for a little while a child of Mine, He said." The poem concludes with: I fancied that I heard them say, "Dear Lord, Thy will be done", For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run, We'll shelter her with tenderness, we'll love her while we may, And for the happiness we've known forever grateful stay: But shall the angels call for her much sooner than we've planned, We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand. Today, Thanksgiving, I sorrow over the loss of Lisa's presence, but I am forever grateful that the Heavenly Father allowed us to have this dear child with us for 28 precious years. Aunt Janet
